Today marks the last day of Spring Break. It also happens to be Easter. My family (like many) mark this day as a day of celebration for when our Savior overcame the bands of physical death. I am grateful not only for this promised blessing, but for the realization I have that we can arise to a newness of life in all areas of our lives. Even though I have struggled with my weight for more than half of my life, with the help of my Savior I can overcome the bands that hold me down and hold me back from realizing my goals. I’m grateful for the reminders and motivation that we can find in all things.
Spring break went pretty well. I did struggle a day or two because of a blister that formed (under an already formed callus). We also had a day of snow which melted off pretty quickly. I’m excited because we’re entering into a time of year when whether should only infrequently interrupt my plans. It will also be a challenging time as my responsibilities and time commitments are going to be increasing substantially. I am going to need to be strict with myself on a regime that will ensure that I’m exercising. This will most likely mean waking up earlier. I know myself. If I try to leave exercising until the afternoon or evening, it won’t happen.
A quick goal update: I decided to change the end date to June 1st. I realize that May 29th was too easy of a day to not clearly remember and why not just use the entirety of the month?
More updates next week!
